The stage is patterned after the cruciform design of John Cuff. This stage has a pivoting forceps carrier, and a spring sample clip underneath the stage proper.

Stage Top
The double-circle ornamentation is a characteristic of Huisen microscopes.
Stage Bottom has this spring device to hold the brass specimen slide, a live-box, or glass specimen phial.
The microscope body support cantilever is held onto the top of the inner shaft by this thumbscrew.
