There are four objectives with this instrument. Each consists of a brass mount and a single lens. Objective magnification is designated by "dots". The objective above shows one dot.
The objectives screw into the bottom plate of a rotating nosepiece. The microscope body screws into the fixed top plate, which is mounted to the square-shaft pillar.
Rotating objective nosepiece. Leaf spring keeps tension on the lower, rotating mounting plate. Objectives 1-4 are located counterclockwise from top.
